About Nora Deme

Emotional Well-being Therapist & Coach, NLP Practitioner and Ollie Coach

My vision

To enable every individual to achieve their full potential to contribute to our world with their unique talents and make the world a better place in their own beautiful way.

My mission

I empower children and adults to understand and manage their emotions so that they can:

  • prevent long-term mental health problems

  • have the freedom to make better choices

  • have the resources to face challenges resiliently

  • create happier and more fulfilling lives

  • become who they want to be and are meant to be.

My Philosophy

I completed several qualifications because I felt one approach wasn’t enough. I wanted to have all the tools to serve my clients in the best possible way.

Studies have shown that just talking about a problem over and over again without any reframe or solution makes it worse. So it’s important to get you out of that loop through tailored questioning and help you take action toward your solution state.

I help you discover what’s causing the problem and what your ideal outcome would be.

Then we shift your focus onto how you get there. Meanwhile, I enable you to find what works for you and how you can put it all into practice to resolve your present issue and any future ones.

As a coach, I don’t give you advice because that could make things worse especially if you already have an underlying belief of not being good enough. But it certainly would disempower you and not help you in the long term. I aim to get you to your desired outcome as fast as possible while empowering you to resolve any future challenges as well, so you won’t need me in the long run!

However, if you are stuck and something won’t shift, well coaching won’t be enough, and you might require a different approach to help you shift the underlying issue. And this is where my therapy techniques come into play. But you don’t have to worry about any of this, because it’s my job to recognize how I can best serve you or your child.

Why I became a therapist and a coach

Unbeknownst to me, my world was about to change before I turned 14. It all started with my mum having a nervous breakdown due to an underactive thyroid condition and having overworked herself with little sleep. Not long after that, I became the rock in my family and spent practically 5 years of my life that should have been my childhood helping almost every single relative in my family through their difficult times while neglecting myself. However, there is only one thing I would change about the past, but I will come to that in a minute.

Why wouldn’t I change anything else? Because I wouldn’t be the person I am today. These struggles, while difficult, made me resilient, a problem solver, and a helper. Ultimately, I wouldn’t have become someone who is dedicated to helping others overcome similar struggles in a better way. What do I mean by a better way? Well, that’s the one thing I would change. I wish I had the tools back then that I have today.

This is why I decided to help children, so they don’t have to go through what I had to. So that they don’t develop anxiety, depression, or stress-related health problems, so that they don’t lack self-confidence, and so they aren’t full of limiting beliefs that hinder them from achieving their dreams or reaching their potential.

I also help adults because, although I haven’t experienced exactly what you are going through, I did have my share of difficulties.

It took me years to work through them to get where I am today, but it wouldn’t have taken so long if I had the right help and tools I can equip you with. I believe no training or qualification beats such a life experience that I bring to the table, because it helps me connect with you on a deeper level, and it makes me invested in your success.

When it comes to adults, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing them work through those tough childhood traumas and being able to let them go. I love empowering them, so they don’t need me in the long run. I help them find what works for them after maybe having tried many different advice out there without avail.

Thanks to being in flight-or-fight mode for several years, I developed health issues. This could have been avoided if I had the help earlier on. â€‹So, a few years ago, I decided that something had to change in my life, and started working on myself.

I discovered that coaching would be an ideal career path, but something was missing. It was how to help those with deeper-rooted blocks that simply coaching won’t shift.

So, I got my therapeutic qualifications. It was the best decision I have made for not only my clients but also for myself. I look forward to working with you and helping you shift whatever that is making your life harder than it needs to be.

Kindness

I have always gone above and beyond to help people in any way I could, a smile to a stranger on the street, a financial donation here and there, a helping hand for a friend, or even for strangers in need. It doesn’t matter how I can help as long as what I do makes a positive difference for the person.
